Ingredients: Water, Styrian and Saaz Hops, 2-Row Barley and Caramel Malt, Yeast and Granulated Beet Sugar.
Matilda is made with a rare yeast that suggests a fruity and spicy flavor. There is complex maltiness balanced with a profuse amount of hops.

Large draft into a custom wine glass. Nice orange color with a yellow-tinged head. Great mouthfeel, with a slightly fruity, slightly tart, slightly malty, slightly earthy flavor profile. Very nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My kind of beer. Beautiful aroma and a real nice belgian flavor. Looks really good in the glass.

Bottle @ home. 2011 vintage. Big white head, that last long, great lacing, deep orange color. Fruity, spicy, peber, malt, mango, pear. Dry mouth feel, high carbonation.

Aromat trochę słodowy, z nutami belgijskimi. Barwa bursztynowa, kiepska piana, mętne. W smaku nieco popiołowe i owocowe. Ciekawe. Posmak kwaskowy.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Pours an amber/orange color with a nice big soapy head. Aromas of pear, grapes, yeast and cardamom. Full-bodied with a nice sticky mouthfeel. Peppery and sweet on the palate with a touch of sourness. Boozy and bitter finish.

Bottle, 2014 vintage. Cloudy orange-amber pour with a quickly dissipating head. Fruit, bread and yeast in the aroma, pretty classic Belgian ale but a little more subtle and complex, a bit of spiciness like a tripel. Flavour is not quite as bright, but fruity and subtly spicy. Not bad.

ENG: 765ml bottle from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the Teku glass. I am curious because I just had Sofie, which in my opinion, was watery and the flavors were very dimmed.
Opalescent orange / copper color with big, white, and again - glairy head. Aromas of bananas, subtle hoppy red citrus, cloves. Tastes tarty-clovy with bananas, quite bitter aftertaste. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Overall this one is much better than Sofie, much more well-balanced, much more tasty.

PL: Butelka 765ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do Teku. Ciekaw jestem jak wypadnie w porównaniu do Sofie, która była cienka jak szampańskoje igristoje, bardzo wodnista.
Barwa opalizująca, pomarańczowo / miedziana, z dużą, białą i znów białkową pianą. Aromaty bananowe, delikatnie chmielowe - czerwone cytrusy, goździki. W smaku cierpkie goździki, banany, dość goryczkowe w posmaku. Średnie odczucie w ustach, średnie do wysokiego nasycenie. Podsumowując zdecydowanie lepsze od Sofie, bardziej zbalansowane, mocniejsze doznania smakowe.

Nice & smooth as one would expect from a Belgian. Beautiful light copper pour w/ a white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is of soft Belgian spices. The taste is also light w/ spice but highly drinkable. Good stuff!

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with large forthy head. High carbonation. Aroma of oranges and other citrus fruits. Taste brings back the citrus, but also a bit of almost of a cider aspect, herbs, acidic and light bitter finish. Can’t help, but compare this to an Orval. A bit more tarty if I’m not mistaken.

765 (???) ml bottle intermittently into a tulip. Figured I’d give it a shot as the few Goose Island products in province seem to be in the midst of being delisted (with sizeable price reduction!) at the provincial store. Pours a transluscent golden colour, with quickly dissipating fluffy white head. Yeasty, citrus nose with a bit of barnyard funk. Slightly spicy favour, and a bit tart, with a dry bitter finish. Medium bodied, with lively carbonation. Complex and interesting.
