Boy is that a pillowy head! Beautiful lacing. Deep golden color with a slight haze. The very standard spicy citrus aroma. That candy sugar thing happening in nose and taste. Nice texture...lingers on the palate. Mild, drop hop finish.

Pours a dark orange, honey color, small head, some lacing. Aroma is Belgian spices, clove, some banana but there’s a feeling of complexity here. Taste is yeasty with a complex spice feeling. A slight bitterness at the end which is awesome and great balance ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

~Bready malt aroma with fruitiness of fig and berries, peppery spiciness. Light and intriguing. ~Pours a hazy orange golden color with dense creamy white head that disappears. ~Yeasty flavor of fruit and spice, fig, raisin, corriander, white pepper, subdued bready maltiness with light caramel. Interesting. ~Light bodied with high CO2, lingering yeasty finish. ~ Enjoyable brew. Interesting flavors and aromas to ponder

You know what I like about Matilda? She’s sweet, but she has a little bit of funk to her. Just enough that you like it, but don’t question it.

Excellent Belgian ale from Goose Island. I sampled this on draft at the "pub" at the O’Hare airport. The Maltida poured a dark gold color with a decent off-white head. The lacing stuck beautifully to the inside of the glass. The body was smooth and drinkable, with flavors of dark fruit, light but spicy hops, bread and yeast.

On tap. Pours a hazy golden with thin white lacing. Initial aromas of lemongrass with a sweet scent. Goes down suprisingly sweet and refreshing with grassy, citrus aromas.

2009 bottle. Clear, dark amber. Good, solid raisin and wet hay aroma. Flavour has red berries, good malty background. Creamy, fluffy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle @ Hoppy Advent Race in Space, Sønderborg. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Atypical aroma of raisins and porto, with vinous and hoppy notes. Vinous flavour with notes of malt, red berries, yeats and dust and some hoppy bitterness. Bitter and sourish aftertaste. Decent.

Bottle, 7%. Fruity and citric aroma with a good raisin note to it. Clear copper colour, a little reddish, with some small bits floating in it. small white head. The flavour is citric and fruity with some berry to it. Has a good balance between the berry flavours, citric notes and bitterness.

Picked this one up at the supermarket on a recent trip to Quebec and i was pleasantly surprised. Aroma: barnyard, lemongrass, hay bales Appearance: great head formation and retention, slight haze (positive), bursting with carbonation Taste: lemon funk, moderate spicy bitterness, nice barnyard brett character, fresh hay Palate: super dry, prickly carbonation, refreshing bitterness Overall: this beer rocked my world. Good to see that the buy-out of this brewery did not affect quality. One of the best saisons I have ever had. Great value for the $. Highly recommended.

Tap at The Oak. Hazy gold pour with a thick head that fades slowly to a ring. Aroma is very floral with banana, bubblegum, and light oranges. Taste has lots of floral hops with a spicy, bubblegum yeast finish. There’s a generic fruitiness in there too. Medium body. Not bad but something I won’t go back to.
