2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brown with a low, but firm head. Nutty aroma - a bit of wood too, not much though. Very sweet to begin with, but the flavours are not very prominent. Roasted malts and caramel, not much else.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle thanks to Brother Eric. Pours transparent dark copper/brown with thin foamy white head. Nose is rich cedar and roasted rye malt. Flavor is cheap mild hops and some light malts, lacking in the rye department for taste. Not the best ’winter’ beer I’ve had.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin ring of spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet toasty grainy rye notes with some English hops and light grapefruity character. Starts with average fullness and a light malty sweetness with some toasted caramel and spicy rye notes before a grassy hoppy, lightly citric finish. Pretty smooth and drinkable.

An draft at MacGregor’s in Henrietta. Dark amber. Sweet and a touch fruity. Very easy to drink and quite tasty. It is what it claims to be - a mild winter warmer.
