Toffee brown, medium-bodied, with a creamy head and an aroma of raisins and freshly baked dark bread. Mild Winter’s rich caramel malt and spicy rye flavors are sure to take the bite out of whatever Old Man Winter brews up for you this year.

Bottle to pint. Looks good; a semi-transparent brown with off-white lacing. Smells of caramel malt, dark fruit, and dough. Tastes like it smells with a nice rye tingle. A decent winter ale.

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with medium lasting, off-white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of bready, toasted malt and spicy, grassy hops. Body is medium and tangy. Taste is toasted malt, spicy rye, herbal, grassy hops and hints of coffee. Finish is long and dry. Tangy, spicy, not bad brew.

Definite malt forward aroma with rye noticeable. Slight toasty nose with a slight spicy hop aroma. Brilliantly clear dark amber with a quickly dissipating tab head. The rye is the immediate impression in the flavor profile, then the hops. The malty bouquet takes a back seat. The medium mouthfeel dries quickly and the rye - hop combination is assertive, borderline astringent. My favorite aspect of this beer is the aroma. To much rye and hops for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear medium dark brown with a very nice creamy head and outstanding lace. Aromas of toffee, raisin, plum and doughy bread. Caramel malt sweetness up front with highlights of rye, spices, raisin, pumpernickel bread and mild leafy hops. Medium body and carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, and a subtle sweetness in the finish.

Yeasty aroma, and a dark pour with a layer of light suds on top. The taste is pretty good - amber-like astringency balanced by some sweetness, with a little coffee and molasses. Surprisingly complex, and a little like a brown ale.

12oz bottle brown pour, tan head. Good name (mild winter), as this is a mild tasting beer. Slight roasty hop taste, lacks bite. light body, thin feel. Overall it is a decent brew, not great though.

Had a glass at Island Girl in Atlantic Beach... Good flavor, light bodied for what it looks like. Mild winter is a great name, not a heavy winter beer but great balance.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark brownish pour with white head, aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, hints of slight nuts, hints of spice, earth, slight chocolate powder. Taste is a nice mix of slight cardboard, chocolate, hints of vanilla, toffee, hints of rye, finishing fairly bitter, rye in there, slightly dry.

It seems to me that maybe they were trying to switch things up by making a lighter-than-usual winter beer with this one? It’s not bad. Lots of aromas on the nose, hints of toffee with roasted malts. The flavor isn’t as robust as typical holiday brews and to me that kinda bums me out a little bit. I like big robust beers when it gets cold outside. Nevertheless, this is a decent brew and I’d say maybe even a good winter session beer.

Dark mahogany color with creamy head. Light roasted malt aroma, roasted nuts. Some flavor of roasted malts, caramel, earth; correct bitterness.
Nice but expected.
