COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Brown Ale with a bite. An American interpretation of an English classic, with lots of domestic Tettnang and Cascade hops to complement the roasted malt character. Head Brewer Wil Turner says this is the beer he is most proud of out of all Goose Island beers!

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, caramel, alcohol, and some malt. The flavor is sweet malt, caramel, straw, and some fruit, leading to a dry somewhat spicy finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of bu11zeye. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Overripe fruit in the nose - American style - and a little roast. Medium body, sweet coffee and vanilla with a whiff of licorice. Dryish finish if not exactly bitter. Not a big beer but well crafted. 280110

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear deep copper colour, mid-sized head. Caramelly with some grain. Medium dry with deep, nutty malt character and well rounded mouthfeel. Hops remain a complement to the pleasant, well made malt, finishing with low bitterness. Not a beer that stands out in a crowd, but an extremely well crafted satisfying beer with good drinkability.
