JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA May 10, 2008 Dark brown color with a modest dark cream colored head. Aromas of nutty and toasted malt with plenty of light floral and citric hops. Lots of chocolate flavors. Dark chocolate with the light fruit in the background. Mild roast in the mid to finish. Touch of dry flowers as well. A nice brown ale.

Thick mud brown in color with a thin ivory beige head that lasts. Smell is subtle malt - not much hops in there. Flavor is nice - it has a nice hops presence and a nice slight bite to it as well. Tiny bitter finish. Mouthfeel is above average - but still a little thin. One of my favorite browns without a doubt! lb4lb (1233), Austin, Texas, USA May 1, 2008 On tap at Goose Island by Wrigley Field. Pours a semi cloudy chocolatey brown with a lasting offwhite head. Smell is nutty, dusty chocolate and malt. Taste is dry, nutty, cocoa like maltiness and has some nice hop bit to it as well. Really flavorful for a brown and one I could definitely have again. Great brown ale. Aurelius (2442), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 Malt liquor and dark malt aroma. home brewy brown ale - unfinished flavor. Green nuts, fairly bitter. Sweet, medium brown and cloudy. Medium astringincy. Too bitter for teh style, lingering top-of-the-tongue aspirin thing. Medium body. General_Gao (2297), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Apr 5, 2008 Draft at GI Clybourn. Poured a clear dark brown-orange color. Head was light tan and left some lace behind. Aroma was of toasted bread, subdued brown sugar, light grassy hop, and a bit of chocolate. Light to medium bodied and dry with minimal bitterness at the end. I tasted earthy dry leaves, light milk chocolate, and a hint of citrusy hops. Pretty decent for a brown.
