Our Nut Brown Ale combines the finest domestic and imported malts to produce a chestnut-hued ale of unusual complexity. Subtle notes of chocolate, honey and fine tobacco give this ale an enjoyable and satisfying “nutty” finish.

Another extremely drinkable offering from Goose Island! I fell in love with their Honkers Ale- now, I love their higher ABV Nut Brown! It has that same slightly sweet malt taste that is balanced by subtle hops. This is one of my new favorite Nut Browns!

Pours dark amber with a red tint. Almost no head. The aroma is kind of fruity. The flavor has caramel and some nuts. The finish is a bit thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with minimal head. Aroma of hazelnut, vanilla, roasted malt, and caramel. Medium light bodied. Creamy slick texture. Some cocoa in taste as well. Very nice. Smooth. Almost beats Roque hazelnut nectar.

12oz bottle pours a dark, translucent, deep mahogany brown with some thin, slightly off white head. Nose is very bready, crust, brown sugar, some yeast, some toasted malt, some root veg, a little soil. Flavor is the same, malty, caramel, bread crust, some toast, a little burnt milk, some overcooked root veg. Clean finish.

Pours a deep ruby hue with a foamy tan head. Aroma of caramel syrup and chocolate. Taste is sweet upfront with a roasted chocolate and caramel flavor that lingers dark and slightly smokey without too much bitterness. Very well balanced. Palate is neutral. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. A- Nutty, chocolate, toast, malts. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Slightly malty, nutty, roasty, chocolate, subtle sweetness. P- Light body, thin texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- A great brown ale. The nuttiness is present and is drinks very easily. A nice complexity to it.
