Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 4, 2007 Twelve ounce bottle from six pack birthday gift from Mrs. Drjohnrock. Strong sweet malty aroma, dark brown color, light brown non-lasting head, sweet nutty flavor with enough of a bite to keep the sweetness from getting out of hand. Better than I remembered it.
mbgrayson (53), Anaconda, Montana, USA Oct 7, 2008 Got a six pack in Dayton Ohio. Smooth and a little sweet finish. Balanced and in general a good brown ale. Thumbs up. marchcow (513), Coralville, Iowa, USA Oct 4, 2008 Slight horseblanket wet dog aroma, sweet sugar and brown malt. Cola brown with a rich foamy tan head. Flavor is bitter brown leather and tobacco. Brown bread, some honey and floral notes. Palate is light with a slight sharp bite. Bitter woody duration. CaryTheDude (282), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 1, 2008 No complaints. Yet another solid brew from the Goose, my Honkeybra’s favorite brewery. Standard brown ale, but not bad by any means. Lotsa nuts, some tobacco, and a hoppy dry finish. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Rubyish colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready malts, sweet fruity hops and some chocolate and nuts. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite pleasant brown ale. Semi-mouthdrying. Adtertaste and finish has some earhy and grassy. Papsoe (10365), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 28, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear orangey brown with a creamy beige head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and a nutty touch. Medium body with sweet burned caramel and again nuts and roasted malts. Very subdued bitterness. 190908
