Pours a black color with a reddish-hue, kind of like coke with a small, frothy light-brown head. Aroma is mainly all malts, roasted, nutty, chocolate, and some coffee. Flavor is nearly the same. Nice creamy mouthfeel, and a bit lively with a slight bitter finish. Good beer. bradyc (2), Omaha, Nebraska, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 26, 2009 A good desert beer, IMHO. Not the best Stout I’ve ever had, but still good. Would drink again ;-) BgThang (118), Texas, USA

A - Black viscous pour with some tan head on this.
S - the smell is a rpasted coffe oatmeal bowl of grains.
T - t he oatmeal really provides the smoothness of this beer. I get coffe pretty heavy as well as chocolate, and dark fruit.
Pretty like for an oatmeal ale, actually t hin I mean.
D - my wife loved it. I thought it was really thin and glad I got to try it, but there are much better oat stouts out there

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 3, 2009 This beer drinks pretty good. It pours a very dark almost black color with an amber hue when held up to the light. The head is large, tan, and fluffy. The aroma is coffee and some mild chocolate and roastiness. The flavor follows with plenty of coffee, oatmeal, and some mild chocolate and earthy tones with a odd hint of smoke. This is nicely dry and mildly bitter. Pretty nice. unclemike (833), Ft. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 1, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours opaque blackish-brown, dark color for a regular stout. Strong, full aroma... lots of milk chocolate, roasted malts, a wee tiny bit of coffee bitterness. Creamy body, smooth sweet flavor... finish is a bit on the watery side, but otherwise it’s great. I think I say this often about Goose Island, but for the price... wow. This could be a regular for me.
