Nov 10, 2004 This is another excellent effort from Goose Island. This stout is always consistent, always rich, smooth and flavorful. Tastes range from chocolate to coffee with enough bitters to keep it interesting. Rich dark color with a healthy tan head. Looks great, smells great, tastes great. What more can you ask for? It’s widely available around here and is often regularly on sale for as low as $5.99 a six-pack. Normally, priced at $6.99.

Sep 24, 2001 A very nice domestic stout. Prominent malt aroma with a slightly burnt overtone. Very rich and creamy with solid coffee notes. A very friendly and engaging.

Oct 20, 2003 Updated: Oct 22, 2003While not as good as the UK imports goose island did a good job here. They are a very competent company if not earth shaking. I can truly say I enjoyed this but it needs to be a bit sweeter and more creem on the palate.
