Brewed in the traditional Märzen style our Oktoberfest pours a brilliant copper over rose color with a bone white head. Notes of toffee and burnt sugar in the aroma and flavors of sweet dried apricots are delivered in a dry malty body with the mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops.

appearance: clear copper, one finger of creamy, off-white head. aroma: malty, with notes of toffee, caramel, graham cracker. taste: malty and sweet up front, with caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, maybe some floral honey, a bit of marmalade, and some earthy, mellow hops. finish: clean and slightly toasty. finish: Solid take on the style, would drink again. Bottle from Total Wine & More, Alexandria, Virginia.

Nothing wrong with this Marzen, it isn’t over engineered or tries to get to fancy. Goose just produces a straight-forward good seasonal--heavy on the caramel, earthy, fruit cake. Multi-12oz bottles

Oktoberfest, this is a pretty good one outside of Germany, pleasantly surprised, recommended

Copper colored pour. That unmistakable Oktoberfest sweetness. Not my favorite style by any stretch, but a good representation nonetheless.

Pours minimal head on a clear dark straw body. The aroma is mild grains with a little apricot. The taste is mildly sweet to start, a little caramel, a touch of bitter in the middle and finishes sweet. Nice profile. The texture is a little sticky. Enjoyable.

Pours clear, bubbly copper-golden with a fairly thick buff head. Aroma is on the weak side, but tempts with malty and caramel tones plus a bit of fruit. Flavor is more forthcoming, malt plus caramel, fruit (didn’t get any apricot, though), woody hops and cloves. Mouthfeel presents OK body and some good fizz. Prost!

Attractive clear radiant amber. Frothy khaki head. Aroma is all malt, caramel and bread, toffee. Flavor much the same. Some berry fruitiness. Bigger light body. Sweet. A little spiciness. Fairly clean finish. Ok.

BOD 8/13/15. Pours a clear amber with a rich garnet cast. Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention. Quite good, but light, nose of toffee, biscuit, light caramel, hints of pear and subtle earthy hops. Heavy light body with a smooth texture that has creamy hints. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice burst in the finish. The carbonation is almost perfect for the body. The flavor profile is quite outstanding. It’s balance is nearly perfect. It starts with light toffee that flows into a caramel sweetness that is just enough to notice but not dominate. The middle brings a slight earthy hop flavor and bitterness. Light pear creeps out as the finish approaches. The finish is fairly clean with a subtle earthy hop flavor lingering.

In a bottle says goose oktober fest. Yes, a little more personality than a typical pale beer. Darker in color like a yeengy. A little more medicinal than I like but OK for the most part. Goes down fairly easy but I may regret that. OK decent fest beer experience.
