3.99 a sixer? Okay! Generally a top sweet marzen. Big malts almost no bitterness. Fine for the price as a drinking beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crystal clear copper / amber color with a frothy white head. Toasted malt and wood aromas. Taste is more of a standard amber ale than an Oktoberfest. Nice roasted malt flavors with a touch of sweetness. A bit of earthy bitterness to balance it out. Body has a creamy texture which gives it a fullness. Finishes dry with a light honey sweetness.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear, bubbly copper-golden with a fairly thick buff head. Aroma is on the weak side, but tempts with malty and caramel tones plus a bit of fruit. Flavor is more forthcoming, malt plus caramel, fruit (didn’t get any apricot, though), woody hops and cloves. Mouthfeel presents OK body and some good fizz. Prost!

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
In a bottle says goose oktober fest. Yes, a little more personality than a typical pale beer. Darker in color like a yeengy. A little more medicinal than I like but OK for the most part. Goes down fairly easy but I may regret that. OK decent fest beer experience.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
BOD 8/13/15. Pours a clear amber with a rich garnet cast. Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention.
Quite good, but light, nose of toffee, biscuit, light caramel, hints of pear and subtle earthy hops.
Heavy light body with a smooth texture that has creamy hints. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice burst in the finish. The carbonation is almost perfect for the body.
The flavor profile is quite outstanding. It’s balance is nearly perfect. It starts with light toffee that flows into a caramel sweetness that is just enough to notice but not dominate. The middle brings a slight earthy hop flavor and bitterness. Light pear creeps out as the finish approaches. The finish is fairly clean with a subtle earthy hop flavor lingering.
