Respectable Oktoberfest but nothing to bring me back. Good malt profile and German hops.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aromas are mostly muted with notes of syrupy cola, toatsed grain, vanilla, and a slight doughy, cheesy funk. It pours an amber clear with a light tan, soft snow drift head. It leaves a light sheet lace as it retains a good, soapy layer of head. It predominantly a medium malty sweetness. There’s a creamy carbonation to go along with an oily-thick texture and a medium light malt body. Flavors of caramel, nuts, vanilla, and cola come through with a mostly citrus and cream, with some cola finish. It’s mostly clean, but does have a slight syrupy clingy aftertaste.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nice clear reddish amber color with a one finger off white head. The head has a good level of retention fading over time to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of caramel and some toasted malty smells. Mixed with these aromas are some lighter notes of a grainy nature, a little bit of a grassy smell as well as some notes of spice and apple.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet and smooth lightly toasted bread and caramel taste. Notes of a light fruit sweetness join the caramel as the flavor advances giving the beer a moderately strong, but nice and drinkable sweet taste. As the flavor advances from the start, along with the increase in sweet, so too comes some flavors of a grassy and herbal nature as well as a little bit of spice. Other more roasted flavors of a chocolate and roasted malt flavor come more toward the end leaving a nice smooth, sweet, and lightly toasted/roasted flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side. Both are rather nice for the style while keeping it a good easy drinking brew.
Overall – Overall a rather enjoyable Marzen with a smooth, sweet, nicely roasted, easy drinking taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours copper / orange with a small off-white head, The aroma has caramel, brown sugar, lager smoothness and some smooth nuttiness. Starts medium body with lots of smoothness and frothy carbonation. The flavor starts with semi-sweet nutty caramel malt, light spice, lager smoothness and rounded toasted malt. The finish is very smooth and clean and has just a touch of wateriness and hints of alcohol. Pretty good,

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a cloudy amber color, with an off white layer of head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was light grain & malt, with some caramel sweetness. A bit less than medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste included just a touch of hop bitterness. Okay as far as drinkability goes, but a not very "to style" example of a Marzen. Kind of a "fest-lite".

Pours a darker caramel color. Clean lager smell on the nose with a hint of sweet malt and apricot. Taste is slightly toasty with a faint biterness on the finish. Solid, drinkable, unremarkable.
