COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the traditional Märzen style our Oktoberfest pours a brilliant copper over rose color with a bone white head. Notes of toffee and burnt sugar in the aroma and flavors of sweet dried apricots are delivered in a dry malty body with the mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops.

It has very little aroma. It pours a nice amber color, which I expected for this beer. Its very plain. The first sip starts off bland, a hint of malt. Then it finishes with a light bitter taste. That is it, it really had no complexity at all. It has a very light, watery palate. Just really depressing since its one of my favorite breweries. The old Oktoberfest was infinitely better then this.

Orange amber rimming lacy white head; aroma is light malty; Flava is malty sweet; feels medium slight fizz; finishes sweet malty

This is one of the best marzens I’ve had. Pours a deep apricot color. Aromas of sweet dried fruits. Flavors are fruity and malty. Very nice and easy to drink.

Bottle from North End Suprette. Pours a fairly clear deep golden amber color with a decent sized off white head that slowly dissipates. Aromas of rich bready maltiness, flavor follows the same basic formula but adds some melanoid and light dried fruits. Pretty good take on a Marzen from a stateside brewery.

Pretty easy drinking with a sharp barley profile. Finishes with a touch of bitterness and some mash sourness. Pours dark amber with OK head and lacing. Tao at union pub.

Really like this copper colored brew. Smooth even with the high alcohol content. Fortunately I only had a couple on hand otherwise it may have been tough getting up in the morning. A real drinkable beer!

A nice Oktoberfest. Pours a very attractive copper with off white head. Nose is sweet and malty, but too thin to get top marks. Flavor is nice, malty at first and then spicy and dry in the finish.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a white head. Taste sweet, caramel, bready. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Maybe I’m just digging this style now that October is almost here, but for some reason I’ve rated a few of these much higher than average lately. This has a solid, approachable, sweet malted flavor. Dry and earthy. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Thick, white head, dissipates quickly. Opaque caramel color. Faint malt nose. Malt; some toast and biscuit. Drier, slightly bitter finish with a trace of alcohol. Decent but unremarkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Fado. Clear medium orange amber pour with soft off-white foam. Well balanced. Just enough drying spicy hops to work against the medium-toasted grain flavors. Does not feel like a proper Marzen style-wise but trumps most other American attempts.
