Brewed in the traditional Märzen style our Oktoberfest pours a brilliant copper over rose color with a bone white head. Notes of toffee and burnt sugar in the aroma and flavors of sweet dried apricots are delivered in a dry malty body with the mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops.

Good Oktoberfest style. A little sweet on the palate going down. Would rather my Oktoberfest have a little richer taste versus sweet finish. For the price a good kickoff to the season ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is somewhat balanced, but too much sweetness for me. Overall drinkable.

Very good aroma. Has the scent of their bourbon county stout (which I love). Different from other Oktoberfest beers. Malty, sweet, slight smoke flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Toffee and malt aroma. Clear deep copper body with a thick off-white head. Taste is of sweet apricot and toffee. Has a touch of bitterness but the malt balances it out nicely. Clean finish.

ABC bottle side-by-side with the SN fest beer. Comparatively much darker bronze color with a tan head. Lots of sweeter, caramel malt and yeast. Very light bitterness if any. Maybe a touch too sweet but still very pleasant.

12 ounce bottle aplit with drsilverworm. Clear copper with a white head. No retention. Aroma is musky and strongly grassy. Leathery almost. I got the dried apricot as it warms. Medium body and higher carbonation.

12oz bottle, from my local Kroger. Split with jstax. Bottled on 13/aug/15. Clear amber color. Thin off-white head. No lace sticks. Nutty, malty, toasty and spicy flavor up front. Pretty nice. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. I was skeptical about the description of dried apricot, but yeah, you can kind of see that. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp lighter to moderate carbonation. Mild slick, bit of dryness. Pretty decent oktoberfest. Better than expected. Solid to enjoy with my sandwich.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, medium-amber color with a very small, light-tan head that dissipates quickly. Strong scents of caramel, toffee, and apricot. It is slightly sweet with flavors of toffee, apricot, and maybe a little orange peel. It has a medium body that is slightly creamy. Carbonation is average, with the finish being quick and on the bitter side. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this beer, as I was not expecting too much from it. Certainly, not one of the best beers I’ve had, but definitely enjoyable.

The rye is quite distinct in the smell, as is malt. However, the scent is not as spicy/floral as a lot of its competitors. The body is fairly light, and thus, it’s a very drinkable brew. The taste leaves something to be wished for as there isn’t much to it except malt. None of the complexity or subtlety that one might expect from a better example of the style.
