tap at GI clybourn... dark cola brown allowing some light to in. wispy light brown head topped it off... aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, and toffee...flavors had chocolate and lots of roast. mouthfeel was somewhat thin and watery.

Aug 28, 2008 20th Anniversary Bottle from Goose Island Clybourn. Pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head. Mild aroma of chocolate, cocoa, and coffee. Nice roasted malt flavor with some chocolate. I thought the beer seemed a little thin. Average.

Aug 9, 2008 On tap at Clybourn brewpub. Pours brown with quickly diminishing white head. Mild aroma of chocolate and malts. Taste is simply of roasted malts and chocolate. Not an overly impressive beer. None of the flavors came through overly strong.

Aug 6, 2008 Draft at Clybourn. Poured a dark brown color with orange highlights. Distinct butterscotch aroma with milk chocolate and caramel undertones. Slightly sweet and medium bodied. I tasted roasty malt, toffee, subdued butterscotch and a splash of cola.

Aug 6, 2008 I had this On tap at the Clybourn pub to offset my anguish over not getting any of the other subscription beers, then found out this was the one they were releasing tomorrow. Pours the color of hot chocolate. Aroma of chocolate, roaste malt. Nice chocolately roasty taste, with a bit of a dry finish. Milky mouthfeel. I liked it, pretty good stuff.

Jul 28, 2008 Draught at the Clybourn pub. Opaque dark brown, light tan persistent head.
Rich creamy brew aroma is chocolatey malts, flavor is milky rich sweet with a nice dry roast character. Lingers slightly bitter and dry. I really enjoyed this, maybe it was just stumbling on a really nice porter after months of drinking ighter styles but this really hit the spot.
