Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a huge and frothy beige head leaving a solid lacework. The nose has quite some brown sugars - and yeast. Medium body, overripe dark fruits and spice with a subtle yeastiness and some late hops. Not too shabby. 131011

Bottled@Monks Cafe Sveavägen, Stockholm. Quite much pitch black colour, small beige head. Aroma is very much quadrupel like even though the low abv. Also quite spicy notes. Flavour is toasted, mild roasted malts with some herbs, spices and quite raisiny and plummy as well. Like drinking a light quadrupel!

omhper (19187) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2011
Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Black, minimal head. Careful roasty nose with some black pepper. Dryish with clean mouthfeel. Rather tinny with markes coffee-like roastiness. The clean, hard malt is surrounded by sloppy syrup. To hard malt character for any flavours to come out, making it feel unpleasantly metallic - like licking a lamp post. Fades out with low bitterness. Rock hard malt in a saison = FAIL.

Bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
The color is dark, almost black, with small sized head. The aroma is interesting and delicate, with roasted malts, fresh timber, wood sap, light paper and spices. Smooth mouthfeel; moderate chocolate flavor, caramel, dynamic, almost refreshing; the pepper is basically hidden, more of it would be accepted (and maybe requested); in the final there is a light residual sweetness and light sweet liquorice; in the very late final there is a light tickling feeling that could be explained with the pepper.
It doesn’t have the spicy/dry/funky character expected from a Saison. But it’s a very good beer.

Clear dark brown - red beer, ghost of a white head. Softish palate, low carbonation. Creamy start. Lightly sour coca cola with a little fruit. Not bad.
