4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Muddy orange with a beige head and yeast sediment floating around. Aroma is sweet, yeast, fruit, and spices. First thing I noticed was the silky smooth mouthfeel. Sweet but not cloying, pears, banana, orange, a hint of strawberry, and a hint of pineapple. Has a good malty body that is so sleek. Reminds me of a Dole flavored juice in ways, but has belgian yeast. Not a big fan of belgian strong’s in general, but this is a very nice brew. Again the silky smooth palate rivals that of the Westy 12.

From a 12Oz bottle. Enjoyed this puppy while wrapping the Xmas gifts. Call it a tribute to Rochefort or whatver, I call it a very enjoyable abby style ale. Wonderful fruity aroma on the pour. Very nice ruby/brown color. Classic abby mouthfeel, and tastes like its been it came all the way from Belgium. This one will win you over quickly.

Pours a deep cloudy mohogany color with a one finger head that fades to a solid ring with a spotty cap. Leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass.
Smell; there’s lots of raisins, some maltiness, oranges, candied sugar, and has just an overall spiciness to it. I really like the way this smells.
Taste; sweet raisins, some orange peel, definite candied sugar, molasses, has a bit of warming alcohol, although I don’t get any of it in the taste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and a litlle sticky, probably due to the candied sugar. I bought a four pack several months ago and tried one at that time. I liked this at then, but it seems to have gotten much better since I let it sit for about 5 months. I found this to be very enjoyable.

Poured from bottle into shaker glass as I don’t have any wide-mouthed glasses. This beer was a cloudy orange/ amber with a minimal off-white head that almost completely diminished. It was carbonated enough that I could see little gass bubbles frequently rising from the sides. Now about the aroma...it was smooth and sweet with just a hint of alcohol. It also had some sort of fruit that I could not place. The taste was enticing! Once again, just a hint of alcohol, but covered well by a host of other flavors. I taste the fruit that I smelled earlier but I still can’t decide what it is. This beer is teasing me, taunting even. It’s driving me MAD!!! But before that happens, I’ll have another.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bit over-carbonated appearance for a Belgian Strong Ale. Cidery brown body with a thick foamy head. Gentle, sweet yeasty nose with a slighty cough syrupy flavor and smooth on the palate. Taste profile was midway between a belgian ale and a dubbel.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle with thanks to Eyedrinkale for the trade! Pours a beautiful dark reddish mahogany color, hazy with a moderate beige head that diminished mostly. Aroma is full and fruity, prune, ripe pear, molasses, nutmeg and clove. Flavor is also rich and sweet, prune juice, more molasses, raisins, mild coffee and sweet brown, spice bread. Full body and creamy carbonation. Very good.

The aroma was light w/ fermented fruit, coriander, slight citrus and honey notes. The flavor was coriander, light fermented fruit, flowers, and a candy sweetness. The beer poured a cloudy brown color w/ thin lasting head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light bodied and creamy.

Cloud sediment auburn, bubbly and foamy head, sticky lacing. Nose of sweet caramel malts, plum, light hops and yeast. Light chocolate taste and a large body and balanced sweetness. Finishes lightly tart, a bit sweeter and a little acidulous for my taste. Typical Ameribelgian.

Very cloudy deep amber color with smallish tan head and faint lacing. Aroma is full of caramel, dates, cinamon, cherry, hints of oak and burbon. Flavor is malty, slightly sweet, with caramel, vanilla, notes of alcohol in the finish and a faint bitterness. A very nice brew.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark amber color with small chunks floating. Rich sweet malt aroma. The mild spice aroma becomes fuller and almost overwhelming in the flavor when it mixes with the high alcohol.
