Yum! Spicy and tasty, this ale is crisp and has no aftertaste. I'd like a stinger, thicker head, but this is one if my new favorites! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from 2012 poured clear medium dark amber in a chilled pint glass, with a tan head that dissipates quickly. No lacing but a quick swirl brings back a small head. Aromas of dried fruit and licorice. Taste is sweet carmel, raisins and licorice, with a spicy, warm, boozy finish that becomes more pronounced as it warms. Head adds a nice creamy malt flavor. Paired well with a flank steak in a mushroom wine sauce. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2011 bottle A-Dark fruit, cigar, slight smokev A-light brown and very hazy, very little head T-Sweet, carmel, raisin,, cigar leaf P-rich body, slight carbonation O-If you have the discipline to age a couple years, this beer gets incredibly smooth and even more complex dark fruit notes. Cigar notes are wonderful.
