3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear gold with a thick white head. Nice grassy herbal aroma. Taste is a nice pilsnery malt/grain/grass fest. Great saaz presence in this brew. Perfect sweetness. Mouthfeel is very full, round and creamy while still being on the lighter side. Extremely drinkable. Great pils, recommended.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2004 rather skunky and sour-smelling, but it’s got the typical saaz-like hoppiness for the style. extremely pale yellow with a short-lived foamy head. very refreshing and tangy bite, but leaves a little too much residual bitterness. good for a summer day but not a great beer.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Small sized white head and fine-small sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. Carbonated, mostly transparent and a pale yellow hue. Malty, hoppy and somewhat of a skunky aroma. Flavor was somewhat astringent, malty and mild hops. Palate was tingly. Light-medium bodied beer with no lacing. Decent pils.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was a slightly hazy transparent softly carbonated weak yellow orange color. The aroma was malty pilsnerish and slightly skunky. The mouth feel was tart mildly tingly initially then settled into a slightly astringent mild hop finish. The flavors contained notes of malt hops and bread. It was an extremely hot day and I was looking for some thing to cool me off. I thought a cold pils would do the trick, but it did not do the trick for me on this hot summers day.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Saaz hop aroma with some malt background. Clear light golden color with a decent white head. Nice hop flavor with some good bread type malt flavors in the finish. I would like to have had more hop flavor in a czech style pils, it was missing that clean crisp hop flavor and bite. Still a good overall pils.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2012 Re-rate. Beer is really quite nice and soft, refreshing. Good bitterness level and clean. Lacks overall hop character, but a very nice beer to drink.
5/4/4 hazy gold, color of Mtn. Dew. Light smell, grass? and hops. interesting, yet simple taste of malt followed by hops. Average, though good for a pilsener or other lager...6/4/6/2/10

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured with a golden head, medium head. The typical bitter smell of a pilsner comes with this one. End up wishing that I had not given the other 3 bottles away to my friend.

Not the biggest Pilsner fan but this is very good. Not bitter good flavor. Goose Island knows what they're making.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2004 Golden color with small head. Flavor was malty with hints of hops. Very crisp beer. First tasting had a grassy taste to it. Second time, several months later, yielded a more representative beer.
