3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 IndianaRed (1799) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 30, 2004
Bottle Pours a clear, very pale golden color with a medium size fizzy white head. Faint pale grain aromsa with some sweetness like honey. Don’t detect much hops. Flavors are mainly cereal, bread and little hops. Quite fizzy carbonation and a light clean feel. Not bad for the style. Thanks MrFacto

Sampled from bottle. This pils pours a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head and intricate lacing. Aroma is grassy and has notes of honey. It is too balanced for the style - I was expecting more hop bitterness. Good malt backbone with both honey and floral hops present. Medium-bodied and smooth. A good beer, but probably not up to par with the other Goose Island beers.

Not a bad pilsener, but nothing to write home about. Clear yellow color with tight carbonation and a thin white head, this carries a bready, grassy aroma. The taste is better - clean and crisp as it should be. The hops come through after the swallow. Has a nice bitter aftertaste.

On tap at GI Clybourn. Pours a murky golden color with minimal white head. Aroma is of malt, yeast, spice and citrus. Taste is very malty, with spice, citrus, and a very nice hop sweetness. Very light, and crisp mouthfeel. Nothing fantastic, but a very good pilsner.

Golden classic pilsner color. Thin white head with good persistent lace ring. Grassy hop aroma with a hint of sweetness. Sweet and well balanced with a good hop flavor and a little more body than most American Pilsners. Does not have the malt flavor of Czech beers(i.e. Pils Urq), but is decent and drinkable.

Clear light yellow with a medium white head. Grain and hay aroma. Taste is bready malt, slight lemony tartness and light spicy hops. Crisp finish.

Had a little bit of a sweet, almost melon like flavor in it. An ok beer but not as good as other Goose Island brews.

Looks alot like the picture at the left. . .haha. Smells surprisingly sweet for a pilsener.
Served slightly warmer than expected. Begins very strong with lots of liquor like malt flavor and some crisp hops that took a backseat. This had alot of barley in it. Goes down fairly acidic turning into a lighter lager as it finishes. Loses alot of the bite and barley malt flavor. Has some soft hints of black licorice that complement the hops nicely

This started off with very strong hops, but after a few sips I couldn't taste it anymore. Otherwise smooth.
