draft, Pours dark ruby red tan head nose really sweet aroma plums malty flavors have really sweet plums and raison med body strong sweet booze finish, too much for me but perhaps better with some age

Draft on tap at Acre GI Invasion event (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice deeper dark brown, some lighter edges with a frothy moderate head, dies to a thicker ring and laces ok as it dies. Aromas are sweet and sticky toffee, caramel, biscuits moving into shades of dark fruit, plum and raisin with some faint rum raisin, orange marmalade, and more toffee, faint cocoa dusting. Initial is sweet and sticky, a heavy body leads into touches of spice and sweet caramel, toffee, and raisins. Touch of plum, cherry, subtle marmalade. Light spice, faint hopping into the finish. Touch of toastiness, with dark fruit, plums, raisins, and cherries. Very sweet, with just a touch of spice and dry hops. Nice, but too sweet for this guy.
