Pour is a muddy river water brown with a small white head. Aroma is sweet brown sugar with some dark fruit. Flavor is not sweet at all. Some spicy rye notes are detected but this finishes with some minor caramel malt. Smells like a dopplebock but tastes more like a vienna.

it has good flavor and body going for it. a little sweet giving a bit of a banana toffee or bubble gum sense first out of bottle. but that dissapates and there is a bit of rye spice some clove and perhaps red pear for balance. finish dry as stated. gonna have to have some more. nice substative mouthfeel ties things together well. decently malty.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on MLB opening day, of course it’s snowing outside. Appearance is a dark and murky caramel brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is rich in malt and clove. Taste is good, thick, rich in banana, good dopplebock with an interesting profile.

Aroma of banana and cloves. Banana is really strong for flavor and hat strange mix wih cloves. Slightly malty too. Pours reddish brown with a thin tan head. Had at home out of a bottle.

Pours a hazy medium brown with a real weizen-like, thick antique lace head. Aroma is ripe bananas, clove and a bit of hops. Taste is sweet caramel malt, wheat, banana, clove, yeast and a mild hop bitterness at the close. Some warmth after the swallow. Really nice smooth balances dunkel hefeweizen bock.

bottle. Deep amber with one finger head. I didn’t really know what to expect here, but I certainly got a pleasant surprise. Medium body, banana sweetness with mild clove. A bit of spicy rye. It’s like a spicy hefeweizen. Very tasty.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Slightly hazy brown with medium sized beige foamy head, rye and caramel aroma, high carbonation, caramel taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Nice brew.

Spicy...at expense of fruit, herbal and bitter. I like rye, but it was lost in the spice blend.

I’m getting real tired of seeing InBev in front of every beer I drink. This one pours very turbid brown with 2-finger tan head. Nose is banana, clove, rye. Tastes malty, earthy, with notes of banana, clove, caramel, tannins, rye, and a slightly sweet finish. Fairly complex, and very tasty.
