On tap GI,This was a nice smooth IPS WITH a nice roasty flavor and not too sweet but a nice chocolate and hoppy finish,I was surprised to see it on tap,abv was not as big as most.CHEERS!

May 19, 2008 Tasted 4/30/08. Sampled from Clybourne brewpub. Dark and pitch hue. Tan head. Toasty aromas. Anise and fudge. Bitter. Full bodied and rich. Big palate. Vanilla and woody notes. Roasty with bitter coffee acidity. Solid big and overt. Totally the base for BCS.

May 19, 2008 Draft at Clybourn. Pours just like your jet black imperial stout expectations with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate malt, earthy malt, etoh, oakiness, and caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, and some light etoh resembling a dark liquor. Really Good.

May 18, 2008 Draft after DLD. Pours black with an off white head. Aroma is of chocolate malt and taste of some bubble-gum and vanilla.

May 15, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Tar black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, well-tanned head. Good retention. Chocolate and molasses aroma. Full-bodied and chewy with soft carbonation. Robust… with balance. Sweet chocolate and bitter charcoal. Not a whole lot of heat. Finishes bittersweet (more bitter than sweet) with burnt chocolate and molasses.

May 6, 2008 It’s better than an above-average beer, but not than an above-average imperial stout. Very standard flavors done well, but no Bourbon County.
