COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American pale ale was brewed with 20% malted rye in addition to barley for a complex spicy malt haracter. It is hopped exclusively with tomahawk for bittering, flavor and aroma.

Draft @GTMW. Pours a light amber with a full white head. The aroma is very hoppy, grassy. The flavor is full of hops, with just a touch of the malt coming through, but that is quickly covered up by the hoppy finish. Very well made.

On tap at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a rocky white head. Plenty of hop presence rounded out with spicy rye. Nice lingering bitterness. A fine effort.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2008 On tap at the brewery (not cask): Poured an amber gold with a small head. Light hoppy aroma and rye, the flavors are grapefruit, peppery, citrus, and wow a lot of rye. Rye comes on surpsingly heavy but still pretty enjoyable. Long bitter finish.

Growler via Jason. The beer pours to a hazy straw/amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet pineapple and pine and some sweet malts. The flavor is pine and spruce everywhere. Rye is there, but not overly intense. The palate is bitter and medium bodied.

On tap at G.I. Clybourn: Brown/orange with a smallish off white head. Fruity and bready aromas. Flavor is much more spicy and tart than the nose leads on, finishes more toned down and smooth with breads and hops.

GTM ’06 draught. Nice hempish, hop aroma. Wet hop. Hazy orange, not much head, not much lace, thinring of large bubble, off-white head. I don’t like the hop variety which is why I gave this brew a relatively low rating.
