[Tap] Light orange color with a small cap of white head on top. Fragrant hoppy aroma is full of citrus and is slightly herbal as well. Caramel malts, bread, citrus, light fruits and mild grass in the taste. Comes across as grainy at times. Good balance. Clean and crisp finish. Tasting notes from 12/2011.

A great beer from goose. Pours a with a golden color and a nice white head. Taste is a nice balance between the malts and hops more towards the hoppy side and also with lemon flavors balanced with the yeast. It is very drinkable and makes a perfect drink for my New Years celebration.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampler at GI Cly. Pouts a clear ruby orange with a soapy white head. Fruity fruit loop-esque aroma. Herbal and a little like a fruit tea. Spritzy carbonation with a medium body. Bitter pine flavors and oranges with that tea and fruit. Really pretty decent with all those hops but a bit odd.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Flight on tap at the Clybourn brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich golden pour, just a gentle hop haze and orange darker glow coats it’s body. A frothy offwhite head sits atop, dies to a decent film, laces ok. Aromas are a rich lemon hopping, medium to good strength flares the nostrils. Florals, grass, and dry bready malts take in. Lively and fresh, with some rich citrus and touches of grapefruit. Initial is lighter bodied, maybe a touch towards medium with a good dose of lemony hops up front. Grass and florals mix with dry bready malts, touches of rye and pale malts linger. Gentle soapy and firm lemon hopping dance into the middle. Finish is dry and biting yet citrus dominant. Good solid lemon and dry citrusy hops, touches of yeasty bread. Fairly clean, quite drinkable. I enjoyed this but the liveliness and pop of the beer might be attributed to the gambit of dark Christmas beers I ran before. Quite pleasant, dry and citrusy finish with just a nice clean and dry quality. Pretty nice drinker. Gorgeous glowing pour.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Clybourn. Pours a very clear golden amber with a persistent head. The nose is super hoppy, catty notes, citrus and apricot abound. A light grainy/spicy note as well. On taste, there is strong citrusy hops and a firm bitterness that is all washed away by an overabundance of caramel notes. Spicy rye is quite strong on the palate but that sweetness is just odd. Really clashes with the hops. A shame.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On gap at goose island cly... Pours an amber reddish copper tint and topped with a creamy lightly frothy soapy white head... Aroma biscuity malt and grain, softer caramels, to be quickly backed up by citrusy hops and fruity undertones and banana to a lesser extent... Flavors are bit of the sweet and crystal malt side with added earthy spice that adds a layer of texture while the malts are held primarily in check while displaying notes of fairly mild citrus tones. Nice texture in the body with softer carbonation.
