Walt (2257), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 23, 2008 Pour is clear deep golden with a thin sticky off white head...smell is perfumey and sweet with vanilla, lavender, and pepper...taste is sweet at first with vanilla and lavender, turning quite nicely dry in the finish...another American saison that isn’t super sweet!!!! swoopjones (1048), Buffalo, New York, USA May 21, 2008 on tap @ Goose Island Clybourn. Pretty nice siason. Pours a slightly hazed golden yellow. Spicy & slightly yeasty/ earthy nose. Nice sason spiciness, some citrus, pepper, yeasty. Spiciness & crisp mouthfeel. Nice job alexanderj (1197), Roanoke, Virginia, USA May 20, 2008 Sample at Clybourn location. Goldish color. Aroma was good; musty and fruity. Flavor was similar, with a bit more spice; solid banana and fruit elements. Not much tartness, not sure why I wrote that down. Overall it was good, but didn’t remind me too much of a classic example of the style.
