3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
At the Beer Belly / Goose Island Migration event. Pours a light yellow. Getting a few citrus notes but this is pretty soft in flavor. Super mellow. Fruit is in the back seat. Getting some tea like tannins. Quite nice.

Tap @ red’s. Murky gold with a nice white head. Citrusy grapefruit aroma with some layers of funkiness, earth, notes of pepper. Dry finish, bubbly. Pretty interesting.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear golden with a white head. Nice grapefruit citrus nose. Not as much breadiness with this one, but its there. Taste has the funk with the grapefruit and bitter dryness on the finish. Excellent.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft sample. Pale gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of pilsner malt, lemon rind, green herbs, and white pepper. Great complex citrus flavor upfront (lemon, kumquat, white grapefruit), along with more white pepper, vanilla sugar cookies, and a touch of dried wood. Light bodied with a touch of refreshing sourness. Very good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours clear golden with a white pillowy head. The aroma has spiciness, grapes, saison earthiness, some light citrus, hints of wine barrel and is very clean and bright. It has a medium body that is quite smooth compared to the regular Sofie and has fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with smooth grape, oak, citrus zest, cream, spice and earthiness. The finish has black pepper and funky bugginess. Much smoother and fuller tasting that the regular version and the barrel seems to show more. Very nicely done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Bigelos. Lightly hazed golden with a small off white layer. The aroma is sourness with fruit. I taste the funky sour yeast with fruit that is surprisingly sweet. This is not sour at all. Vinous effects and woody leather. The bret is tasted late. Interesting.

lots of grapefruit rind. Wood? Nearly clearly gold. Pretty damn tart. No head. Bitter like grapefruit rind...(centennial hops)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Stag’s Head. Pours almost clean gold with a thick, foamy white head. Aroma of light grapefruit rind and juice. Taste is slightly yeasty with significant notes of grapefruit w juice and grassy hops. Finishes juicy and clean. Very refreshing and drinkable. Grapefruit profile becomes more prominent as you drink it, in a good way. Good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear golden with a thin lacing of white head. Aroma is strong, concentrated grapefruit. Flavor is really dry grapefruit with some light herbs. Very light and fruity, with a strong tartness.
