COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

Served from large bottle. Tight lace, with light yellow hue. Flavors of wine, cereal, and hops. Acidic and sweet a little too sweet. Best Saison ale I have tasted.

Bottle (2013), 355ml. A golden beer with a huge frothy head. It has a floral aroma and maybe a slightly hint of banana. Taste is bitter at the beginning but also a little sour at the end. Maybe it has a slightly watery finish, but overall a good beer. Very complex.

Bottle, 355ml (2013). Pours clear golden with plenty of carbonation and a thick, fluffy white head with great retention. Aroma is of coriander/orange and other citrus, with a musky barnyard character and yeast. Spicy and astringent, with a heavy bitter and sour finish expertly balanced. Complex and very drinkable, though nothing too special.

Golden color with a white tin head. Aroma is fruity, lemon, orange and grass. Taste is fruity and grassy with a citrus note. Not my type of beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a thin white had which leaves some mild lacing. Color is a cloudy yellow. Aroma: coriander, yeast, bread dough. Mouthfeel: crisp, light and frothy with a somewhat dry finish. Flavor: complex combination of fruit, spices, vanilla, and sweet citrus rind. Overall: very well done farmhouse ale.

765ml ($9.99) pretty good beer and tastes like a belgian style beer and has a high level of carbonation like a champagne. its good but at the price point its closely priced to better beers in the same style and this is only 6.5% abv

2013 edition. Fruity sweet aroma. Pours clear straw with lots of rising bubbles. Sweet flavors with a bit of woodsiness at the end.

Murky yellow with a white head. Aroma contains some lemons, spices, and white grapes. The flavor is sour and tart with a strong citrus flavor. The aftertaste is very tart and sour more so than most saisons. Overall a good beer.

2014/06/01 - Pours a translucent, golden/honey colour with a soapy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is yeast, citrus, orange, funk and mild vanilla. Taste is yeast, Brett funk and tangy orange/citrus with white wine, oak and peppery notes. Mouthfeel is light, with effervescent carbonation and a refreshing, drying finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Une bière complexe, très fruité et facile à boire. Il faut que je ré-essaye et en garde une dans la cave pour plus tard.
