3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy, bright golden yellow color with lots of bubbly effervescence that gathers at the surface into a small off white head. Some soapy drips of lace slides down the glass. The aroma is nice and complex showing notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, and spicy pepper atop the base of candied pale malts. There is a hint of mild brett to go with the dry, Belgian yeast profile and some balancing hop bitterness on the back end. The flavor follows and is even better than the nose suggest with the citrus fruits, spicy pepper, and lemon grass up front followed by some creamy oak laden vanilla and touch of bretty funk. Medium bodied, dry with prickly carbonation with a nice dry, bitter finish from the grassy hops. Great brew and perfect for the hot summer time. Really nice saison.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Poured into a chalice a slightly hazy straw yellow color with a nice fluffy white head. Nice lace as the head settles. The aroma is that of straw, lemon, grass, orange, and very mild barnyard. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing. The citrus really come out in the flavor and are nice followed with some mild bitterness. Some floral type flavors as well. Nice wine like notes as well. A very solid, slightly wild beer that is pleasant to drink.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Huge head a little soapy looking, shiny, golden slightly hazy... Some fruits, apple light aromas, tart, sour aroma, belgian yeasts come through.... Dry finish, quite a bit yeasty in the finish, not overly sour/tart though some barnyard/funk does come through nicely, just enough..,. kind of has a duvel meets orval feel to it...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bomber. Pours a light lemon gold color, cloudy, with fizzy white head. Aroma is tart and peppery, sour citrus, cherry and currant, floral pepper notes, but also with a sweetness present, vanilla pudding. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation, dry, definitely has a champagne like feel. Flavor is cloying, a mix of tart citrus notes and light floral notes, with a finish that is at first somewhat vanilla sweet but ultimately evolves to a lingering tartness. This is a nice saison and was clearly crafted by a great brewer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice saison that pours the typical color of the style and creates a huge, foamy, white head. The nose suggests a sourness that is never fully realized, as the taste only presents a very subtle sour twang. Otherwise, there’s a bit orange peel, subtle cloves, and just a bit of hops. Very nice beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed from a 16.9oz bottle in an English pint glass. The beer pours a fairly clear yellow color, with a large white head. The nose shows notes of citrus, peppery spices, and a slight farmhouse funk, more brettanomyces than other souring agents. The palate is lightly tart, citrusy, spicy, and highly effervescent. The latter adds further dryness to what is already a bone dry finish, and cleanses the palate. The finish is nicely crisp, allowing the beer to be highly quaffable. Overall, absolutely excellent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very fizzy yellow with lots of small white bubbles. Smells and tastes just how a Belgian saison should.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle. 2010 vintage. Pours a cloudy yellow with a large amount of soapy white head with good retention. Aroma has some coriander, yeast, lemon, orange, and some hops. There is definitely some funkiness to the aroma. Flavor has some sweetness to it mixed with a hint of lemon and orange peel. There is some definitely some spiciness with the coriander in the flavor. The finish is really interesting. It is indeed creamy and dry. The creaminess is really unexpected from the first taste, which makes this a fun drink. The back of the palate, is really funky, but not necessarily in a bad way. It’s pretty much a transition from spice to pure funk. The beer is medium bodied with marginal carbonation. The first sip of this beer was really jolting, but the more I drank, the more I liked the finish and the more I admired its complexity. I will definitely seek these out again when I see them.

pours a thick white head, fruit like aroma i associate with belgian ales, but very strong at first, then mellows down to a light citrus aroma, slightly cloudy blonde appearance, fruit like flavor, very sweet, a good beer overall
