4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love saisons. And I REALLY loved this one! Goose Island has never really impressed me with their Belgian styles before. Don’t get me wrong, I liked them all, but this stands out. hay, bread, caramel, dough, banana, raisin, vanilla, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, golden, Awesome!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours from 22 oz into tulip glass. Lots of carbonation, and hence, a nice white head on top of the golden brew. Very bubbly, but that fades. Aromas of orange, clove, and spice. Fairly thin on the palate, but true to the saison style. Nice funkiness in the wild yeasts too....leaves a nice finish. Very nice brew for summer

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating is for the 2009. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a good sized foamy head that lasts. Aroma is very nice. Tart tangy fruits, some hop like a summer breeze across a field of hay and a little white pepper and creamy vanilla. Mouthfeel has just the right tang and zip with an underlying creaminess hinted at. Taste is orange zest and mildly bitter fruitiness, straw and vanilla. My favorite American saison.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich golden color; nutty and spicy aroma with substantial sweet maltiness. Fairly cleanly malty and sweet flavor, lightly soapy and herbal. Lightly bitter finish with some effervescent banana notes; well integrated. Towards the sweet and less spicy side for saisons.

Clear yellow, full white head, dissipates quickly, light lacing. Strong sour aroma, barnyard and floral. Tastes great, mild malt sweetness and floral sour bite, bitterness on the finish. Light body and high carbonation.

Fruity aroma. Silver coloured and hazy in appearance. Fruity with a hint of dryness and spiced flavour in a floral and bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Ang.
Hazy yellow with a big frothy white head and lots of suspended particles. Nice yeasty nose with some pleasant fruit and obvious orange and barrel. Drinks like a sour weiss. Really well balanced, the orange and barrel show through really well but are not at all over powering. The wine notes add plenty of complexity and the overall impression is that of a very well crafted and balanced brew. Like it.
