Happy father’s day to me. I have to be honest, I didn’t take good notes so here’s the memory. Golden color with not much head. Nice fruit smell and a decent taste but, nothing overly special.

12 ounce bottle from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids. 2010 vintage. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast, peach and pear. Lightly tart. The taste is very fruity... citrus, pineapple, banana. A bit yeasty and a tart finish. Medium bodied. Pretty nice.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap @ OBF... Incredible Saison! Poured pale, straw, yellow, with a white head that last with a thick layer on the surface. Aroma was tart, with flaky grains. Melon, honeydew, grassy with a strong yeast spice. Citrus hop notes to counter the fruity, dry tart tones. Dry finish with a yeasty tanginess.

22 oz bottle. Clear gold pour, with fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet grapes, citrus, orange peel, banana, and bread. Flavor is more focus on the bread, but still sweet and fruity. Light peppery hay notes. Body is pretty heavily carbonated and sharp. Overall a very interesting twist on the saison.

50cl traded bottle. Very light yellow, slightly hazy with a nice white head. Foamy lacing. BIG aroma of banana, sugar, Belgian yeast, and some citrus peel. The beginning and end of the flavor are pretty classic but the middle is a little heavy on the orange. Still pretty tasty and the 6.5 ABV is nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Utobeer. Hazy golden with a fine, white head. Peppery citrus aroma, hints of oranges. In the mouth a lot pepper flavours, nicely balancing acidic orange fruit, though mostly on the bitter side. Very Belgian in character- very elegant.

Pours out looking just like champagne. Lots of bubbles! Lacy white head. Aroma of citrus. Flavor is as advertised - tart orange with vanilla finish. Very drinkable. This could become my new summer brew! Note to Goose Island: put this into six-packs!

This was a very good saison that i had over the fourth of July. It was a little warm when i had it but that shouldn’t take away too much from the flavor.

Bottle. Poured a nice yellowish color with a long lasting pillowy white head. It left lacing on the glass as it went. Aroma was citrus, orange, and lemon zest. Flavor was grass, spices, zest, and corrider. Great aftertaste. Goose Island does it again with another great beer. I love all goose island offerings. They don’t make a bad beer.
