COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

From the bottle. funky aroma from the yeast, bitter orange and some white grape present. some tart notes on the palate, not overbearing and a little sweetness to balance, slightly vinous. Light carbonation with a soft mouth feel. Dry finish, overall a pleasant beer

Cloudy dark yellow. Light white head. Aroma is a little sour, vanilla, and mild funkiness. Flavour is smooth, wheat, slighty chalky, a little sour with hints of wildflower. Tasty and smooth. Elegant for style compared to many.

I typically shy away from American saisons as I believe it’s one style we haven’t nailed down yet. This beer proves me wrong. Delicious beer. Aroma was spicy with light malt, orange peel and grass. Pour was a nice cloudy light gold with a two finger white head. Taste was light and delicious. Melon, orange and notes of grass with a slight graininess. Very refreshing. Mild carbonation which was disappointing compared to others in the style

Bomber into a tulip glass. pours a light straw yellow, with a huge white head that lingers, leaving good lacing. Nose is tart citrus. Taste is tart, dry citrus with a hint of pepper and spice. Very refreshing. Medium length finish, with high carbonation. In the style of Belgian saisons, and this is a good one.
