Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Bottle. Pours a yellow gold color with a white fluffy head. Fruity and light aroma, and the taste follows. A with a nice hoppy, wheat bite. A medium bodied, light malt balance.

Poured cloudy yellow. Light fruity aroma. Light flavor with touches of malt and floral hops. Very subtle. Drinkable summer beer, but nothing stands out.

Bottled on 3/27/09. Pours a Pilsner yellow with a small but compact white head. Aroma shows significant lemon and citrus, pilsner malt marmalade. Yellow cake. Flavor is clean, dry, and to the point. Super clean with a dry, super quick finish. This is fine, really, about what you’d expect. Not bad if it’s what you’re in the mood for.

TAP: gold/yellow pour, citrus & light malt on the nose, on taste add to that a slight amount of hop character and carbonation. Not spectacular, but decent.

Bottle. Yellow and initially crisp but lacks flavour. First impressions are quite good but any taste and charater soon dissapear. Dissapointing and wouldn’t expect it to be a big seller in Cologne.
