Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Sep 22, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden color Kolsch with an average pure white foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of some semi-sweet malt with not much else to report. Taste is a mix between some semi-sweet malt without the grainy aspect and no distinctive feature form the yeast which is usually the case with this style. Average at best and not something I would like to try again. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Sep 21, 2008 Bottle. A Kolsch eh? Thought this was a little bland and lacking anything that would make me drink this again given any choice. Pale yellow gold (like a lucky lucky man’s bracelet) with a thin white head. A little watery and metallic. Didn’t care for it much, but didn’t hate it. Cheers. mcmd (132), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Sep 14, 2008 Pours golden yellow with a slight haze. Smell is grains, citrus. Taste is slightly sweet caramel with bitterness in the fihish. Crisp and refreshing. Nice Kolsch. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Sep 14, 2008 On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Aroma of lemon, cerial grains and light hops. Taste is mild and semi sweet. Very one dimensional but easy to drink.
BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 9, 2008 12-oz bottle received via trade with unclemike. Pours clear and sparkling dark yellow with a spare, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw, meal), light hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of grape and cooked cabbage. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 9, 2008 From bottle. August Dayton Beer Tasting event - Favorite Summer Brews.
Pours clear gold with decent head. Light bodied. Not a lot of aroma or flavors to grab onto. Decent lawnmower beer but not up to par with some of their other beers.
MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Bottle at GBBF08. Weak fruity aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Small white head. The flavour has a little caramel but is quite light. A little rough bitterness in the finish. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 28, 2008 Pours a very light gold that is murky and pale in color. Typical. Decent head on the pour. Smell is slight fruit, mostly lemon. All malt in the taste. Good amount of bitterness. Very crisp, light and refreshing. Not my cup of tea, but good enough.
