Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

This beer is a beautiful golden honey color with almost no head. Flavor is a super balance of malt and hop. Honey and earthyness are prominent. Tartness sits on the tip of the tongue. It is a crisp and refreshing beer. Perhaps the best Kolsch I have sampled.

Thanks to Gregis for the bonused bottle from my want list.
Gold with medium white head. Smell typical sweet grassy malt smell of a kolsch with a light almost chemically character about it. Taste is sweet up front, followed by a tart finish. Very drinkable, simple, but decent summer beer. Somewhat thin.

Bottle. Clear light gold. A clean Kolsch with a very light hop profile, some maltiness, but not sweet, a clean dry finish. Easy to drink, quenchable and refreshing, but not complex or remarkable.

On my old rating scale this comes through with a 3.4 maybe even 3.5 but with the new and maybe improved maybe not scaling system it scores a still sweet 3.3. Drank this on a hot afternoon waiting for my butter covered filet to finish cooking. Lite fruit flavors mixed with a bit of honey a hint of malt. Refreshing to say the least. Pretty good.

Bottle. Clear gold colour with a moderate white head. Aroma of apricots, grass and a bit of pepper. The flavour was slightly sweet to start with, followed by a decent hop finish. Ok.

got in a goose island variety pack. pours a clear gold, light head. unique aroma, not strong, but subtle sour dough. taste was also fairly unique with a blend of lemon and honey. very interesting, worth having a little warmer so the subtle notes come out.
