alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Aug 12, 2007 ON tap at Clybourn; flavor was of grain and funk. Not very good; flavor was much of the same. Pretty disappointing. Only good thing was decent hop finish. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 11, 2007 12oz bottle wifr bought in Wi. A toated grain aroma with some citrus. Gold body with white head. The zesty lemon flavor made this beer for me. Otherwise could a been just another ordinary beer like the big 3 make. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Aug 6, 2007 Pours a sparkling gold with a white, frothy and lasting head that leaves decent lacing upon the glass. The nose is grainy, sour citrus, with a lightly yeasty backing. Light to medium-bodied and slick, it finishes slightly astringent. Sweet, lightly bready malt and mildly sour citrus. Crisp and refreshing. A nice summer beer and the best Kölsch that I’ve tried this summer. undsioux7 (553), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Aug 2, 2007 bottle. Pours light golden/yellow with a smalll white head. Light lemon grass aroma. Lemon and a bit of citrus in the taste. Not bad. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Jul 29, 2007 Hint of lemon aroma. Rather sweet clean grain flavor. Not terribly complicated but quite refreshing and very easy drinking. hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jul 27, 2007 Gold colour. Sweet grainy aroma. Taste is slightly citric with a sweet malt background. Does what it says on the bottle. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Jul 27, 2007 Bottle at The Rake at London Bridge (London), poured a bright gold. A clean palate, very dry. A spritzy citrus flavour with grapefruit notes. marvelred21 (6), USA does not count Jul 26, 2007 From the bottle. This beer pours a goldish straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is mild with hints of lemon grass and mild hops. the flavor is a bit tart and fruity with the lemon coming thru strong. Overall a very good kolsch good for hot summer days.
