freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Jul 25, 2007 You’d be hard pressed to find a better BBQ beer than this gem, straight from the heart of Chicago. The Goose explores the often neglected Kolsch style and hits the target dead on. Light, malty, with a nice tartness in the finish, clean clear golden appearancem and light to medium carbonation. Hop character is grassy and subdued with a slightly zesty lemon finish. Brewosk (137), Illinois, USA Jul 23, 2007 From a bottle at Old Chicago. Summer beer tour. Nice, crisp and refreshing with some lemon taste, enjoyable but not remarkable. CamdenD (606), Madrid, Spain Jul 22, 2007 Well made kolsch, with a crisp tight taste and nice smooth palate. This won’t make you remember it much beyond the smile of the first taste of a cold beer. Well, first since the last one, of course. tclowans (19), rolling meadows, Illinois, USA Jul 17, 2007 Updated: Feb 4, 2008great summer bear. very refreshing would be great for a summer bbq great with beef. not a huge flavor but refreshing. extremeicon (108), Wichita, Kansas, USA Jul 16, 2007 Extremely refreshing. Nice and light with very pleasant carbonation. Sweet malt very nicely balanced with the hops. I actually went through this one so fast that it’s tough to remember much of anything specific. Would definitely be willing to give a proper tasting to later on when I’m not so thirsty. kopher (296), New York, USA Jul 15, 2007 Pours a hazy straw, minimal white head. Caramelly, slightly smoky aroma, a bit of green apple. Flavor starts dry and astringent and very sour. Finishes sort of malty and lagery. Medium-thin body and with good complementing fizzyness. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 14, 2007 This beer is very light and drinkable. The taste leaves a little to be desired, but I suppose Kolsch is a pretty mild style. I would buy again, especially on a hot day. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jul 12, 2007 Tap at Old Chicago, Old Town, Wichita. WTF is this? It smells and tastes like modeling clay (for the latter, add a bit of sugar substitute in there as well). It looks okay-- average yellow-- but smells and tastes like friggin’ modeling clay!
