bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 12, 2007 On tap @ the brewpub. Golden coloured with a medium sized head. Nice and crisp with notes of metal, bread and grass. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Jul 10, 2007 Nice pale yellow pour, with a smaller white head. The head dissipates fast. Aroma is slight hop, with some lemon grass notes. Body is on the light side of medium. Not at all watery, rather very crisp and clean. the lemon grass comes out in the nose of the flavor. The finish is fast and clean. The carbonation is not over powering. This is good beer. I didn’t have high hopes....I was pleasantly surprised. 17thfloor (1402), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2007 Kolsch might be one of my favorite type of lagers. Pale yellow pour with medium sudsy white head. Aroma of grass. Flavor is very light like a dry cider. Finish is slight hops & some bitter. Body is crisp which compliments the flavor so I gave that a 4. One of the better summer attempts I’ve had this year... JohnBruns (32), USA Jul 9, 2007 Had a slight fruity/lemon taste, enjoyed it before dinner. Was smooth and plesant. gmcase (113), Indiana, USA Jul 8, 2007 bottle. pale ale with some fruity notes and a hopped up taste. At first I was somewhat impressed but as it warmed up I was turned off. Some yeast flavor mixed with lager flavor. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 6, 2007 355ml bottle from Utobeer. Pale clear gold, lasting white head. Slight herby lemon aroma. Very much a light lemon curdy aroma. Smooth in mouth. Light and drinkable. Just as a Kolsch should be.. Lemon hop on end is very pleasant. I like it. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Jul 5, 2007 Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of slight citrus, yeast, floral hops, light toastiness, and sweet malts. Flavor is of citrus, lemon, and yeast up front that give way to a slight toastiness and grains on the finish. A little watery. Overall this really isn’t that great. holdenn (1431), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2007 Updated: Apr 19, 20097/2/07 12 oz thanks to my future? aunts who through us a wedding shower. Not my favorite goose island, but an excellent attempt to get something I might like none the less. Pours a cloudy orange yellow thin head. Nose is lightly malty, floral, and citrussy. Flavors are similar, a little more citrus coming through. I liked this more than I remembered from last year. 6/3/6/3/11 = 2.9
12oz bottle thanks to AJ for bringing this. The same malty citrus and creamy notes of before but they come together nicer. Creamy smooth body. Easy to drink and enjoyable to throw back in the warm weather. 6/3/6/3/13 = 3.1
