Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

thought I was going to enjoy this after the first swallow but but the time I was finished with it I had a strong urge to brush my teeth, not sure if it was the beer or the paint fumes or something I ate, i’ll have to try again

Pours pale yellow with thin head. Light aroma of grass, citrus, very light malts. Flavor is mild and somewhat dry. Could be better.

Chicago trip. Monday 14:17. On tap at Clybourn. Pale yellow. Thin white head. Hint of grassy hops. Hoppy clean beer. Delicate. A bit chewy in the finish.

(Tap) Pours a yellow color with a pretty tiny white head. Aroma is light. Taste is also relatively mild, and includes light malts and citrus. Dry and refreshing finish. Could stand to have a little more body to it. Maybe it’s the style, but this beer doesn’t seem to be on par with a lot of their other offerings.

Rated 8/5/06: Pours a light gold color with a smooth head and good carbonation, there’s a nice clean sparkle to the appearance. Aroma is real faint and neutral. Crisp and refreshing on the palate coupled with a nice easy flavor. Light malty flavor that is somewhat dry with a tinge of citrus. Real smooth drink here simple and refreshing.

Clear straw body with small white head. The aroma is herbal, grassy hops, slightly metallic and just a touch of esters. The flavor is lightly sweet, some honey, slightly floral and a touch of grass. Light body is softly carbonated and a touch watery.

Light yellow color. Smell of yeast, copper, metal, light hops and flowers. Taste the same but water down. Its probably good on a hot day.

On tap at clyborn. Uff, needed this beer for the MBA card and I’m not sure if I would have done it on any other circumstance. Yellow golden color with little aroma. Tastes like an easily drinkable light lager with heavy carbonation. Gooses beers are normally really solid and they did this one right on, I guess kolschs are just not my cup of tea.
