Too bad it leaves a harsh feeling of thickness in the throaht. Other than that this is a fine ale for a hot day, with a slightly floral aroma with almost no carbonation action. Not bad, but not the best summertime beer. To me the best smmmertime beer is Franziskaner on tap or a glass of Pilsner Urquell the world’s greatest pils. stevec (19), Galena, Illinois, USA

Sweet on first contact than fades to a light finish. Lacks character buts serves it’s purpose as a refreshing summer brew. Might as well stick with the 312, more character. ilovedarkbeer (1333), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2007 Clear golden color out of the bottle. This beer just looks like summer, a very clean crisp look. Nose was a bit dissapointing. Some very light floral, citrus, malt aromas. Nice and smooth on the palate and welll carbonated, this will probably be my go to brew this summer. Chitown440 (15), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a light golden yellow, clear and well carbonated, with an inch or so of sudsy white foam. The head dies down in short order, but provides solid webby lacing throughout the glass. Slight grain and dried grass in the aroma.
Smooth toasted and caramel malt flavor - light bodied. Not crisp and clean like I would expect from a kolsch, but rather smooth and mellow and more like a golden ale. But I am not reviewing to Style Police standards. Well, not too much, anyway. In any event, it is drinkable and enjoyable. Nice hops for balance and a touch of sweetened lemon in the finish. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
