Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Bottle: Dark straw color with good head. Hops and mild bread sweetness mix with some floral qualities in the aroma. A little underwhelming though... Spicy hops and esters dominate the flavor at first, and then a nice dry hoppyness finishes it off. Good flavor throughout. Weak body. very drinkable, but not much else to say here.

Thin bright white head of medium sized bubbles. Great carbonation. Light malty aroma. Some light citrus and wheat. Pleasant aroma. Slightly cloudy bright gold. Light malty flavor with a little cereal and a touch of corn. Unoffensive but pretty boring. Clean palate with a slight bitterness and zippy aftertaste. Decent but nothing special.

Smells of citrus and wheat. This hazy gold pour tastes of wheat and bananas. It is smooth and refreshing. It was nice to have after my meal.

Bottle. Light tan pour with medium head light malty-kiwi aroma. Light, crisp taste that lacks in body, but is very sessionable. Pleasant malty undertones. Not bad for the style, but not my cup of tea (or lager).

Bottle. Clear golden pour with a short white head. Powerful aroma, fruity and malty with just the slightest hint of hops. Very crips - too crisp. Firm bitterness initially strikes me as good and organic but settles as something more befitting a BMC. Medium body. Fruitiness arrives only after warming. And not really a Kölsch to my taste.
