notalush (2627), Denver, Colorado, USA May 7, 2006 Well-made summer beers are really a hard thing to come by, but this is one of them - nice, crisp fruity presence and enough pleasant malts to keep the tongue interested - finishes clean, but leaves an impression of hops. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA May 7, 2006 A yellow appearance with a moderate white head. Not much going on with this beer. Standard issue stuff with a hint of lemons and hay. Good for hot day of drinking and not thinking sessions. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA May 6, 2006 Very clear with slight white head. No noticable aroma. Tastes like lemon flavored water with a dash of beer in it. Fuck this shit. This needs to taste more like beer already. pivo (2535), Germany Apr 14, 2006 Light nose, yellow color, fizzy head. Starts soft, light citrus malt, then a big broad hop bitter. Very un-Kölsch-like. Not a Kölsch at all. Far too bitter. But stil a decent brew. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Apr 13, 2006 Bottled: Light golden color, small head, little carbonation. Hoppy hay nose. Too bitter for a Kölsch - Light "I’m in Cologne-Kölsch" -taste in the beginning - but than - BAM - Hops a gogo and you are in Chicago! oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Mar 5, 2006 Pours a golden yellow/amber. Aromas of lemon, grains, celery. Flavor is crisp, dry, sweet malt, and a mild hop. zombywoof (355), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jan 10, 2006 Updated: Aug 28, 2007Re-rated-refreshing with a smidge of bitterness. Spalt hop flavor with a little yeast. tlitt2 (58), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Nov 27, 2005 My first Kolsch. Faint fruity aroma. Nice creamy white head, small. A spicey, faintly hop flavor. Nice acidity. Not much flavor, but very refreshing. Could drink this like Gatorade.
