RedHaze (370), Where the hell am I?, Nebraska, USA Nov 18, 2005 Had this on tap at Crescent Moon in Omaha.
Pale gold color with almost no head. Smell is mildly citrus and sweetwith just a light hoppiness. Flavor of malt, hop, lemon and spices. Overall taste was very mild. Was very easy to drink, but not something I’ll seek out again.
tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 27, 2005 Mild pear-like fruitiness with some light herbal hops in the nose. Hazy golden-yellow with decent white head that diminishes to cover. Very lightly fruity yeast characteristics over the soft malty flavour with some citrus-herbal hops and fair finishing bitterness. Light body is very dry with crisp carbonation. Tulip glass, just above fridge temp. Bottle (trade, Aug-05). Thanks, npdempse!
dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2005 First kolsch, impressed with this brew. second goose island sample, refreshing on this 85 degree early evening. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA Sep 9, 2005 Sampled from bottle. Pours a cloudy, dark yellow with a thin, white head. Aroma is grassy and earthy. Flavor is well-balanced with spicy hops and subtle, fresh fruits (citrus and apple). Light to medium-bodied, moderately carbonated and very refreshing. Great for Summer, as advertised. henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA Sep 7, 2005 The bottle poured a light gold slightly cloudy beer with a medium fizzy white head that lasted a while but not very long and left little lacing on the glass. The aroma was a delicate combination of sweet fruit, biscuit and subtle hops. The body light with lively carbonation and a slightly dry texture. The flavor begins with a subtle, clean fruitiness. The middle is taken over by the sweet maltiness while the finish is taken over by a mild hop bitterness. thehoff (567), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Sep 5, 2005 Cloudy pale gold in color. Great nose. Nice accents of citrus and banana. Thin white head. Easy to drink. Slight bitterness and clean taste with a little sweetness. No aftertaste. Very refreshing beer. Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 28, 2005 Clear light golden pour with short white head. Nice lacing as it went down. Aroma lacked some substance, but what was there was quite pleasant... light fruity hops and some bready malt. Well-carbonated in the mouthfeel and crisp. Flavor picked up some bright floral and citrus hop bite as well as a light-medium bready malt backbone. Quite tasty and refreshing. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Aug 20, 2005 Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Quite lovely. Aroma is slightly bready, with citrus, and a hint of metallic. Body is thin and carbonation is perhaps a little too high. Accomplishes it’s purpose though. Crisp and refreshing, with assertive hops.
