Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Aug 3, 2005 I guess from now on I make sure there is a wheat reference on the summer brew. Man I can’t stand kolsch. Aroma has some fruit and that’s it. All downhill from there. Slightly skunky, probably good after some hot sauce and your palate is wrecked. darkerdabetter (255), Michigan, USA Aug 3, 2005 Good, crisp, German style brew. It’s very light in the fruit and spice department, but that’s what makes it a good summertime brew. Very refreshing and lightly hopped. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA Jul 17, 2005 Poured a pale yellow, fizzy white head. Light on aroma, body . Got some yeast and some clean crisp bittering. This had a strange mettalic taste. Thanks Duane. redmosquito (172), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Jul 16, 2005 How refreshing a summer beer that isn’t some type of wheat beer. Light gold in color, clear with a huge white head. Light malt aromas, biscuit and bread, faint floral hops and slight yeast, all very nice but subdued. The flavor is clean. Malt, not overly sweet or bitter, somewhat crisp with a lingering yeast flavor. This is a great summer beer, a brave effort for a micro to undertake. jcr (1136), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jul 12, 2005 Faint aroma of citrus. Slight grapefruit taste, a bit sour at first, then a bit bitter at the end. No one flavor overwhelms and overall fairly smooth. Poured cloudy yellow with thin white head that stuck around. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA Jul 8, 2005 Faint aroma of strawberries, also flowers and dough. Slight sour notes to start, very light and unobtrusive malt that still manages to be a hint sweet, and a finish of spice and flowers. Well done and muy drinkable. FoolishMortal (965), San Diego, California, USA Jul 4, 2005 Pale yellow gold color. Medium sized fluffy white head. Slight grassy hops and grainy malt aromatics. Slightly malt sweet flavor with muted floral and citrus hop notes. Finish is crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Muckrakerr (33), Muskegon, Michigan, USA Jun 30, 2005 Good stuff, this. Poured from a bottle to an effervescent head that quickly dissipated. A great session beer; light enough to drink in quantity, complex enough to keep you interested. Not much maltiness. An initial sourness that reminded me of a hefe-wiezen. Slight hoppy finish.
