SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 30, 2005 On tap at the Crescent Moon. This was last Tuesday’s pint nite beer. A fairly decent, yet mild kolsch. Yellow with a moderate white head. Lacing hangs in there for most of the drink. Aroma of slight maltiness, slightly grainy. Possibly a little dash of lemon flavor. Lighter in body than many great kolsch, but does not have the nasty harsh cardboard flavor that lesser ones do. jhliesen (403), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Jun 30, 2005 bottle--nice light golden color with a medium head that lasted throughout. Aroma was minimal. Slight fruit flavor with a light finish. Tasty on a hot summer day. Tubbfan (144), Joliet, Illinois, USA Jun 29, 2005 Poured from a bottle, lasting head and good lacing. Appears hazy, golden. Not much aroma, but what there is on the hoppy side. Initially sour then slightly bitter, reminds me of grapefruit. Clean, dry, refreshing finish. I don’t taste the malt. JoshuaB (422), Detroit, Michigan, USA Jun 21, 2005 Not much to this beer, although I wasnt expecting much either. Works as a thirst quencher. Somewhat cloudy pale yellow, with great head and lots of fizz. No real aromas, maybe some weak malts and citrus. Flavor is weak and somewhat sour with some hops detectable. Get for a session if nothing else is available. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 20, 2005 Bottle, best by 9/26/05. Slightly hazy golden body with an attractive fluffy white head. Buttery corn flake aroma. More buttery malt in the flavor but it’s accompanied by dry/crisp sprucy, grassy hops. Lemony finish. Light mouthfeel and low carbonation. No flavor component is really big but they work well together to produce a nice summer beer. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Jun 19, 2005 pours a light pale color w/ a decent white head and some light lacing. Smell is a light citrus hop and a weak malt a bit of rose possibly. Palate is very middle of the road I can feel it there but it doesn’t impress. Flavor is a nice mild crisp citrus hop and a light malt back w/ some very light fruits. Overall a pretty ok beer for drinking in the sun. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Jun 19, 2005 bottle. pale yellow with a huge white head that settles down to an 1/8th inch coating on the top of the beer. mild citrus flavors and hop aroma. a nice thirst quenching summertime brew. ceejmomeechmo (58), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 10, 2005 Bottle...Poured a hazy golden yellow with a fluffy sustaining white head. Notable lacing left. Aromas were mild, consisting of citrus, subtle melon, and hops. Flavor again was very mild, again consisting of citrus and hops with a slightly bitter finish. Overall I was not terribly impressed.
