Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Faint aroma of citrus. Slight grapefruit taste, a bit sour at first, then a bit bitter at the end. No one flavor overwhelms and overall fairly smooth. Poured cloudy yellow with thin white head that stuck around.

Faint aroma of strawberries, also flowers and dough. Slight sour notes to start, very light and unobtrusive malt that still manages to be a hint sweet, and a finish of spice and flowers. Well done and muy drinkable.

Pale yellow gold color. Medium sized fluffy white head. Slight grassy hops and grainy malt aromatics. Slightly malt sweet flavor with muted floral and citrus hop notes. Finish is crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing.

Good stuff, this. Poured from a bottle to an effervescent head that quickly dissipated. A great session beer; light enough to drink in quantity, complex enough to keep you interested. Not much maltiness. An initial sourness that reminded me of a hefe-wiezen. Slight hoppy finish.

On tap at the Crescent Moon. This was last Tuesday’s pint nite beer. A fairly decent, yet mild kolsch. Yellow with a moderate white head. Lacing hangs in there for most of the drink. Aroma of slight maltiness, slightly grainy. Possibly a little dash of lemon flavor. Lighter in body than many great kolsch, but does not have the nasty harsh cardboard flavor that lesser ones do.

bottle--nice light golden color with a medium head that lasted throughout. Aroma was minimal. Slight fruit flavor with a light finish. Tasty on a hot summer day.

Poured from a bottle, lasting head and good lacing. Appears hazy, golden. Not much aroma, but what there is on the hoppy side. Initially sour then slightly bitter, reminds me of grapefruit. Clean, dry, refreshing finish. I don’t taste the malt.

Not much to this beer, although I wasnt expecting much either. Works as a thirst quencher. Somewhat cloudy pale yellow, with great head and lots of fizz. No real aromas, maybe some weak malts and citrus. Flavor is weak and somewhat sour with some hops detectable. Get for a session if nothing else is available.
