kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA May 2, 2005 (bottle) very pale gold wiht nice white head. Aroma of lemony hops. Nice hops flavor, fairly light as one would expect in a summertime beer. A great beer to have cold on a hot day. Tmoney99 (4663), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 1, 2005 Bottle. Clear amber with an average rocky white head. Average hoppy aroma with citrus tone. Light body with bitter finish. Good brew. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Apr 29, 2005 Updated: Apr 30, 2005Straw color with a light frothy head. Aroma is very hoppy and lemon citrus. Flavor is citrus and great for a hot summer day. jollyraider (252), Los Angeles, California, USA Apr 25, 2005 On tap at Clybourn: Soft yellow, thin head. Light, lemony, crisp. Kind of dry. Would be very refreshing if served a bit colder. Thanks to Ma Beth. BCAR (216), Naperville, Illinois, USA Apr 20, 2005 Light straw color with a citrus and hop nose. Just not enough there for me. Flavor is not pronounced and had an acrid aftertaste. I’ll try again when it’s 90 degrees. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Apr 19, 2005 Updated: Jul 18, 2007Classic Kolsch appearance ... bright golden, nice white head. Clean citric aroma. Crisp wheaty, lightly corriander-ed, bready beer. Definitely authentic to style. Very well done. RAYBOY01 (1820), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2005 I would not have said "kolsch"...I think this is very drinkable and refreshing but seems too mildly hopped. I like a little more bite in my summer ales. But I definitely would have another one. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Apr 13, 2005 This beer pours a straw yellow color with a thin soapy head and fairly decent white lacing on the sides of the glass. Fairly evident clear liquid with carbonation tornado down the center of the glass. Aroma is hay, weeds, and grass with hints of bread and citrus. The flavor is light bodied and mildly malty with citrus in mid-sip leading into a cotton mouth dry finish. Not much to this beer as to be expected. Fairly clean finish, a tad sticky, very dry and highly carbonated. Not a bad beer, not a great beer...but somewhere in the middle. Drinkable, but wouldnt go out of my way for it.
