Aroma fruity, yeasty. Flavor of sweet malt and some citrus. Thin body and texture. Would be refreshing on a hot summer day, which this was not. Not bad. AndyReynolds (281), Wilder, Kentucky, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2009 Bottle. Poursa hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malts, a small bit of hops and not much else. On the palate it is refreshing and crisp. The flavor was a bit watered down, but it was refreshing for a hot day. I am not a big fan of a Kolsch, but this one was pretty good. rayg1 (437), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 27, 2009 Sampled at Chicago O’Hare at the Goose Island bar there. Pours out a hazy yellow with a white head that quickly goes away. Aroma is a touch of sweet malts and some fruit buried in there. Taste is very much the same, I dunno this one left me wanting more. Kolsch can be excellent for a nice fruity refresher but this one was just off for some reason. Not the best example of a Kolsch I’ve had, but then again, I haven’t had very many. Perhaps I’ll need to visit this one again. Lubiere (4480), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2009 A blonde Kolsch with a thin white head. A fruity aroma with light mineral notes, and a bit of boiled veggies. In mouth, a clean crisp malt with light sweet notes, and a bit of hops. Refreshing. On tap at Clybourn, May 17 2009. noompa (130), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | May 20, 2009 12 oz. bottle (2009) in a makeshift Kolsch glass; slightly hazy golden w/ an initially brimming white head that steadily devolved into some insipid bubbles; aroma is pretty empty, barring a slightly sweet maltiness; flavor is again nothing special, w/ some cereal and mild hops; quickly fades into a clean, dry finish; not as refreshing as they say and eminently forgettable. livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA

Diminishing white head, spare lacing. Sunflower yellow clear brew. Nose is bread, a little metal, sweet. Average malt presence with hints of cereal and grain. Grassy, earthy light hops support. Light body, thin texture.
Not bad, but I doubt I’d ever purchase a six pack. Trev (859), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is light sweet grainy malt and grassy/straw hop.
Earthy slightly sweet malt flavour, with a tangy grassy hop balance. Rciesla (3600), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
