Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Bottle - First to note that for some reason, this beer is very inconsistant, some bottles good, others lack the same taste, rare for Goose Island. Nice clean appearance with small head and some lace. Fruity and a little woody on the nose. Spicy and a slight hoppiness on the palate, finished clean. Nice for a hot summertime day. Rerate on tap - my first impressions of this beer are still correct, even on tap it's an okay session beer, quaffable, nothing more.

Yellow with a small white head. Weak fruity citrus aroma. Sweet and malty flavour with American hops.

extremely pale, very large head. lightly sour aroma of hops, maybe saaz(?) and a little grapey sweetness. very thin but good mouthfeel and carbonation. very refreshing, but nothing special.

Again, a member of our 9 samples at the tour. Not my style, as I prefer the bastardized American ales >:-) Anyway, looks like a summertime beer, smells like a lager with some fruity highlights. Nothing too special, though very easy to drink and thirst-quenching.

From a 12 oz bottle courtesy of Strykzone, this poured a slightly cloudy golden color with a moderate white head that did not last long and left light lacing. Nose is mostly of coriander. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Flavor is mostly of malts with a little fruit. The finish is dry and slightly bitter,. A straight-forward and quite drinkable beer.

A perfect beer for hot humid summers. Pours a nice clear gold, and small to medium head. Aroma is clean and somewhat fruity. Flavor is a little hops, a little fruit, and a little malt. Very crisp clean taste and finish

Bottle pours light yellow, translucent, small white milkish like head, beaucoup carbonation, with attractive lacing.   Light malts on the nose, slightly sweet, with minor hints of fruit.   Slightly grassy up front, developing some grain flavors as time goes on.   Finishes light, clean, and without much trace of its initial flavors.   Not bad...   Thanks goes out to TChrome for the trade!

Bottle. Light golden yellow, small white head. Pleasant mild grainy aroma. Flavour is quite light, mild grainy malt. Average palate. Pleasant summer quaff but not very exciting.
