COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Bottle pour at Rocket City Brewfest. Pale clear straw-colored with a light lacy head. Fresh, grassy aroma with some spice. Lightly sweet but dry at the same time, light with a crisp taste. Some hops, some grass and a slight spiciness. Crisp, slightly bitter finish. Very nice light, refreshing beer.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste citrusy, crisp. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale gold, appealing and refreshing sight, with a nice clarity that’s almost transparent, well carbonated with a soft delicate foam. The aroma is mild and subtle, but I get instant signs of malt, a little biscuity and buttery, with a slight blueberry fruitiness and a very faint hop spice. It’s nice and soft on the palate with a gentle mouthfeel and plenty of spritzy carbonation. It’s somewhere from light verging on medium bodied. The flavors are very clean throughout, offering the briefest hints of berry-like fruitiness, my taste buds are still learning but I would guess something of a cranberry, raspberry and cassis mix, without being particularly assertive. There’s a mild hop bitterness in the finish, which does leave a slight flowery aftertaste, but the sweet maltiness comes though much more pronounced. A thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing summertime ale!

Bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Light, slighlty fruity, smooth, easy on the palate. Just a wonderful beer

Tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Pours clear yellow. Fruity but balanced Kolsch. Sweet but not too sweet. I doubt I would like this in a bottle with the extra carbonation but on tap in the brewpub it was fantastic.

Bottle from Wal-Mart: Poured a light straw blonde with thick frothy head which ended up sticking around like a real quality beer should be. Aroma is mild and has a smell similar to a kolsch style beer with minor trace of grass and wheat. The beer drinks easy and with a soft smooth velvet palate while the liquid has dense weight.

It’s like Blue Moon but has a more appropriate amount of sweetness. Too bad summer only lasts three months a year.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. On the bottom it is stamped: 30120-B1-1112. The pour is pale yellow to slightly olive oil in color with a quick fizzy white head that dissolves. The aroma is actually rather enticing with its barley grain malts, melonesque fruitiness, and crisp hop. The body is light to medium. The taste is upfront grainy and sweet with a slight lingering bitterness at the tail end. Refreshing for sure.

From bottle. Nice golden color with an inch of white head. Aroma was malty with a little citrus hops. Taste was similar with a more lemon citrus flavor and crisp end. Great hot weather beer.
