Commercial Description:
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

Quite an enjoyable beer. Lower ABV but malty, so it is not thin. "Velvety" would be the word here. Sometimes, I want a beer just like this, no more, no less. They nailed the style if you ask me.

On Tap at GI: Semi cloudy, thin white head. Aroma of hops and slight fruitiness. Nice lacing. Excellent.

A good example of the style. Looked exactly as it should, smelled fresh and hoppy, tasted fresh and hoppy too. If you can find some, definitely give this beer a try. It’s a great quaffing beer, nothing too complex, just a simple, refreshing and tasty ale to drink ice cold on a hot summer day.

Slightly fruity taste. Light, with a pleasant taste. Perfect for a warm evening after a long day at work.

A thouroughly enjoyable summer beer. Although defining a Kolsch "standard" seems very elusive, I like to think that this is it. Teh beer is light yet flavorful with a crisp and quenching quality to it. The aroma and flavor is somewhat floral and herbal. Teh flavors ebocme more pronounced as the beer warms and more malt is noticable.

Draft, at the brewery. Tried this at the breakroom of Goose's brewing plant, so if they still microbrew it at the brewpub, it may be different. Nice light color and appealing aroma. Sweet malt flavor, hops are noticeable but not in the way, and some yeasty taste, too. Kölsch is not a common style in the midwestern US, and it's nice that the Goose (and other brewers) are using it as their summer beer. Hope it turns on a few new people to the world of beer.

12 oz bottle, pours clear golden color with big frothy white head. Light aroma of wheat, slightly fruity, and floral. Taste is malty and wheat, very crisp and light mouthfeel. Very refreshing, a nice summer beer!

Another good summer beer. Good flavor and goes down smooth. Not the typical hoppy flavor I’m used to with Goose, but still good.
